Defective Goods
- Subject to certain conditions, defective goods may be returned to us for repair, replacement or refund within 6 months of date of delivery from us to you.
- Kindly complete Section A of our ‘Goods Return’ form, which you will find here and send this to jeandre@tempmonitor.co.za in order for us to determine, in consultation with you and our supplier, what action needs to be taken.
- An initial telephone/video consultation with you will take place, in which we will attempt to solve the problem (e.g. by means of shared photographs and/or shared reports). If we are unable to resolve the problem by this means, and it is agreed that the goods need to be returned to us for investigation regarding the fault, this will be done at our risk and at our cost.
- Upon receipt of the goods, we will ascertain from our supplier whether the goods can be repaired. If you choose to have the item repaired, such repair will be undertaken at our cost. Should the same fault or another defect appear within 3 months of the date of the repair, we will decide, in consultation with you, whether to replace the item or refund you.
- Where it becomes clear that the goods have not been used in the manner and/or for the purpose for which they were intended to be used, and have been severely or irrepairably damaged as a result, no repairs will be undertaken at our cost nor will a refund be issued. If requested to do so, we will return the item to you, otherwise it will be disposed of.
- Devices, which have become “defective” due to the expiry of a non-replaceable battery enclosed within the device (i.e. the device has reached the end of its useful life), are not able to be repaired nor can the battery be replaced. Such devices will not be replaced free-of-charge nor will a refund be given. In consultation with you, we will supply you with a quotation for a new device.
Goods Unsuitable for the Intended Purpose
- You must inform us within 5 business days of delivery by us to you should you find the goods to be unsuitable for the particular purpose communicated by you to us when entering into the transaction.
- Kindly complete Section A of our ‘Goods Return’ form, which you will find here and send this to jeandre@tempmonitor.co.za in order for us to determine, in consultation with you, what action needs to be taken.
- If the goods supplied to you have been specifically manufactured to your specifications and are not a standard stock item, and are therefore unlikely to be able to be resold by us, we will not be able to refund you or replace the goods at our cost.
- If, following consultation with you, it is agreed that the goods are to be returned to us, this will be at our cost and at our risk.
- If, however, on receipt of the goods, the returned goods are found to have been disassembled, altered, or damaged in any way, which render the goods unfit for resale, we will unfortunately not be able to refund you or replace the goods at our cost.
- If approved, a refund will be made within 10 business days of such approval being communicated to you. Proof of banking details, date-stamped not less than 3 months prior to the date on which the refund is approved, will be required.
